Cerberus V2

ASUS announced the successor to their highly successful Cerberus headset called the Cerberus V2. The new follow-up headset is built with ASUS Essence drivers, stainless-steel headband, wrap-around ear cushions, and a dual-microphone design.

The Essence drivers are a little smaller than in the predecessor as the engineers managed to shrink them from 60mm to 53mm without impacting the sound. The new Cerberus V2 headset should deliver lifelike sound effects and cinematic music for everyone using them. In return for the smaller drivers, the headset features a larger sound chamber which should result in a richer and more natural sound.

The stainless-steel outer headband should increase the durability quite a bit and it’s still nice to wear thanks to the padded inner headband. The ear cushions are a soft wrap-around style which should offer a great wearing comfort. The ear cushions are also 30 percent larger than the original Cerberus headset and offer 50 percent better sound insulation.

Cerberus V2 has a four-pole audio/mic combined connector that allows it to be used with PC, Mac, gaming consoles, and mobile devices, so gamers can enjoy ultimate sound quality with any game or music source. For additional connectivity, Cerberus V2 also comes with an audio/mic splitter adapter, so it can be used with dual-port devices, such as motherboards and certain laptop models.

Cerberus V2 is thoughtfully designed with two microphones: a detachable boom mic that provides clear communication when gaming, and an in-line microphone that is convenient for phone calls and other everyday tasks, such as smartphone voice commands.

ASUS Cerberus V2 will be available with an MSRP of £59.99 from the end of April in the UK.
