ASUS’ Republic of Gamers first showed their Strix GD30 gaming systems at CES 2017, and now it has been officially announced. The Strix GD30 is a powerful gaming desktop featuring a sleek black-and-white design. It comes with interchangeable front panels that allow owners to customise the system’s appearance to suit their style. Equipped with up to the latest 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 graphics

As for the hardware, the Strix GD30 comes equipped with latest 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics. Other less powerful options will be available too. The motherboard uses the Intel H270 chipset, and it can be equipped with up to 32GB DDR4 2400MHz memory. Storage wise, the Strix GD30 can hold a 3TB 7200 RPM SATA3 hard disk as well as a 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD. Those are the out-of-box options, but naturally, you can upgrade those yourself too.

The GD30 is an easy way to get a powerful gaming system without building it yourself. It also comes with a few nifty features that aren’t found in most systems or chassis’. For example, it has an integrated and removable hanger which can be used to keep a pair of gaming headphones within your reach. It also comes with an advanced thermal system with large air vents at the front and underside plus an isolated power supply chamber. This will give the powerful gaming system plenty of airflow.

Inside upgrade options include room for up to six HDDs, two SSDs, five fans, and a water-cooling system, so gamers can expand and upgrade their system as needed. The Aura RGB lighting lets users further customise the syle of their system with a choice of over 8-million colours and multiple effects.
