With stock CPU configurations the Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2 gives more or less identical load temperatures to the Hyper 412 Slim and Mugen 3 because thermal load is so low it is difficult for the coolers to break away from one another. None the less the temperatures are still very good.

Using overclocked configurations the Dark Rock Pro 2 broke away from the majority of the competition. Although it was slightly disappointing to see it failing to beat the cheaper Mugen 3. However, we want to stress that there is a margin of error in all testing, we have seen the Dark Rock Pro 2 beat the Mugen 3 in other people’s tests so its difficult to say which one is better – they are both simply top notch in terms of their performance.
