CHERRY has just presented the new MX Board 6.0, a keyboard that is called the world’s most responsive performance keyboard for enthusiasts. The keyboard combines the latest RealKey-technology for analog signal processing with the proven and precise MX-switches for uncompromised performance.
The new flagship model from CHERRY doesn’t just perform great, it also looks great. The 454 x 147 x 24,8 mm housing that is made from sand-finished aluminium with a grease-repellent coating. The 2m long cable is braided and the USB connector is gold-plated.
The backlighting helps you to find the right buttons even in low-light environments and it also makes the keyboard look even better. The Windows key is configurable, the status keys are bi-coloured, and the function keys can be assigned with two different functions each. Users can also choose whether they want to attach the rubberized palm rest or not and the easy removal of it also helps when cleaning they keyboard.
The RealKey-technology achieves unmatched performance thanks to the analogue signal path where all buttons are connected directly to the controller. Where most keyboards will need around 20ms from keypress until the pressed action arrives at the system, the MX Board 6.0 needs less than 1ms. The RealKey-technology also allows for full N-key rollover and 100 percent reliable anti-ghosting – all keys can be read simultaneously.
Cherry used their own gold-crosspoint switches that have a lifespan of over 50 million operations, in this case they used their red switches.
The new CHERRY MX Board 6.0 is available now for an MSRP of €189.
