Corsair announces high capacity Force Series 3 SSD’s

Corsair have announced the release of 3 new SSD models with the Force Series 3 180GB and 480GB as well as the Force Series GT 480GB, the Force Series 3 180GB/480GB have been aimed at consumers and IT professionals that want an affordable upgrade from the 120GB models, the top of the line GT model is aimed more towards enthusiast video editors and gamers where high performance is required, both use the SandForce SF-2280 SSD Processor, the series 3 uses asynchronous flash memory technology to deliver strong value and SATA 6Gb/s performance, whilst the GT is combined with ONFI synchronous flash memory with native support for SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3), All Force Series 3 and Force Series GT models are also backward compatible with SATA 2, and include an easy-to-use 3.5″ adapter for use in both laptop and desktop PCs.
