eTeknix Insider Edition #23

It’s been another busy week here at eTeknix, with another great selection of product reviews,  this week we have the latest edition of the popular Antec Three Hundred chassis, with the Three Hundred Two, the very serious hardware of the QNAP TurboNAS drive for those serious about network storage as well as the Icy Dock Hot Swap SATA Caddy for those who live things a little more interchangable, looking for a new chassis, then how about the gargantuan Xigmatek Elysium Super-Tower  PC chassis, perfect for the system build that needs space, and lots of it.

For all you gamers out there we have the cloud gaming device from OnLive with their streaming microconsole,  as well as the Free-to-Play PC racing title Auto Club Revolution, and last but by no means least, how about a nice range of budget friendly keyboards for gaming, the office or a home theatre setup

Check out the links below to see how each product got on in our tests, all links open in a new tab.

Antec Three Hundred Two Mid-Tower PC Chassis Review

Today we are taking a look at the very popular Three Hundred Two Mid-Tower Chassis from Antec, which is quite litterally the new model of the original Three Hundred chassis, as with any newer model you would expect new features, upgrades and general improvements, all of which have been applied here.

QNAP TurboNAS TS-869 Pro 8-Bay NAS Review

We’ve seen a few NAS boxes recently that are primarily aimed at the home and SOHO user market and have been very impressed with what there is on offer. Naturally following on from the home and SOHO environment, we take a step up in size and move onto the SMB (Small and Medium Business) market and with this comes bigger NAS solutions. Typically we still find a number of these being self concealed, free standing units but there are small number at the top of this category that differ in their design and functionality in that they are rack mountable.

Icy Dock MB971SP-B 5.25″ Hot Swap SATA Caddy Review

It has only been a short time since we had a look at our last Icy Dock product, the MB994SP-4SB-1 Quad Bay SATA backplane, and like that, our next product that we’re looking at is a hot swap drive bay, but this time with a bit more functionality to what we have seen before.

Emprex Keyboards Review

Today I’m taking a look at a range of budget friendly keyboards from Emprex, but who are Emprex I hear you ask?  Well they are fairly unheard of over on this side of the globe, having done work as an OEM manufacturer for many of the better known peripheral brands, but the thing they’re best known for are LED bulbs and other cost effective lighting, media centre remote controls and low cost LCD monitor solutions.

Auto Club Revolution Free-to-Play PC Review

This last few weeks I have found my self loosing plenty of time in Auto Club Revolution, a free-to-play online racing title that at least from my perspective seems to have cropped up out of nowhere, coming from the developers at Eutechnyx, who are one of the rare games developers that have been around since the mid 80′s, although back in those days the company was called Zeppelin Games, then later Merit Studios Europe.  If I’m honest I haven’t heard of them before, but after checking their history, I have played a few of their titles.
