Peter Donnell / 4 years ago
It’s been another quiet week for reviews here at eTeknix, but even thought we only have four reviews for you we do have some nice surprises for you all.
We start this week with the Sharkoon DarkGlider Gaming Mouse and the Icy Dock SATA Hard Drive Enclosure, but then we have the stunning looking and very popular Prodigy from BitFenix, a Mini-ITX HTPC chassis that aims to change the M-ITX market for good, but has BitFenix managed to bring the goods? Finally we have a piece of graphics card royalty with us as we got the world’s first review on the brutally powerful Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC graphics card, but does it performance match its hefty price tag?
Check out the links below to see how each product got on in our tests, all links open in a new tab.
Sharkoon DarkGlider Gaming Mouse Review
Not that many people know about Sharkoon and their peripheral products, as they are known more for their cases and accessories, but recently Sharkoon have been expanding their product portfolio with a whole host of gaming orientated peripherals. Known for their great value, we will expect to see a lot from Sharkoon in terms of features for the price paid, but will their be a trade off on quality? Well today we get to find out with their latest gaming mouse – the DarkGlider.
Icy Dock MB559U3S SuperSpeed External 3.5″ SATA Hard Drive Enclosure Review
Mobile storage is something the virtually everyone of us out there has in one form or another, typically this going to be a USB flash drive with a capacity that varies from a typically 512MB right up to 64GB that we are seeing more and more often. Whilst these drive are great, due to the fact that they are [on the smaller end] fairly inexpensive and also that they easily slip into your pocket or onto your keys; their main downfall is when it comes to wanting or needing to shift larger volumes of data.
Bitfenix Prodigy Mini-ITX PC Chassis Review
This week we’ve been taking a look at the very stylish Prodigy chassis from Bitfenix, which as some of you will know is causing somewhat of a storm in the mini-itx category at the moment, with stock of this item seemly in high demand where ever you look, could this be the chassis that sparks new life into the mini-itx motherboard ranges from all the major suppliers, given the already limited choices from the various manufacturers?
Gigabyte GTX 680 Super Over Clock 2GB Graphics Card Review
When we take a look at the vast majority of new cards, the hype has always been based around the GPU core and because of this no particular retail card has had any more favouritism to another before its out of the manufacturers hands and onto the retail market. This has all changed recently and one particular card has been having a whole heap of interest over any other in its GPU core class. For quite a while now we have been hearing many things about the GTX 680 SOC and what its impact will have on the graphics market.
We’ll be back next week with more great reviews for you, but don’t forget we still have loads more great content for you over our Forums and Competitions sections, or why not keep up to date with all the latest news and reviews by following us on Facebook or Twitter.
