Firefox 14 available, still buggy

Mozilla’s quick releases are still on form -you can now get the Firefox 14 browser. Mozilla claims to have fixed all the main bugs that were associated with Firefox 13. Security fixes for Firefox 14 range from critical to moderate but none of them are significant enough to send the average user packing with fear of their online safety. Web developers should be happy as most of the fixes help with the debugging process and make development just that little bit easier. Check out the full security fixes summary here.

Mozilla claims that version 14 has an improved site identity manager, which “prevents spoofing of and SSL connection with favicons.”  Also, version 14 addressed the JavaScript-CSS conflict present in version 13.  Again, this fix probably applies more towards developers.

Unsurprisingly, version 14 is not completely stable, there are still a fair number of issues that remain unresolved by the Mozilla development team. It will address those in the next patch…probably Firefox 15,

One key issues in version 14 is that the browser will crash if it’s launched while using a locked profile.
