Fujitsu launches LifeBook SH771 with up to 14 hours battery life

Fujitsu has announced the availability of its SH771 Lifebook 13.3″ notebook. It has been designed specifically for professionals which explains the price tag of between $1800 and $2500 depending on the specifications. The laptop is just 22.3mm thick and weighs in at around 1.2kg. Powered by Intel’s second generation Sandy Bridge processors you can have a 2.5 GHz Core i5-2520M or 2.8 GHz Core i7-2640M. The screen is LED backlit 13.3″ panel with a 1366 by 768 resolution powered by Intel HD 3000 graphics. The keyboard is spill resistant. A BluRay writer is optional but the standard models come with DVD-RW drives. Fujitsu also gives the choice of a 128GB SSD for rapid boot times and minimal storage or a 750GB HDD for slower boot times but with more onboard storage.

The SH771 also boasts a webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, an SD card slot, an ExpressCard 34 slot, one USB 3.0 port, a HDMI output, and 6-cell battery. If you want more battery life than the standard 9.5 hours you can swap the optical drive with a 3-cell battery – this setup enables up to 14 hours of operation.
