Halo 4 confirmed to be direct sequel to Halo 3

Halo developers 343 industries have confirmed that next years Halo 4 release will indeed be a direct sequel to the storyline of Halo 3. This was an official announcement made by 343 industries at PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) and they also said that the new series would be called the “reclaimer trilogy”.
The new trilogy will heavily emphasise master chief as the main character in the story and Cortana was also said to feature heavily in the new storyline which will feature and unique and never seen before relationship between the two characters.
