L.A. Noire Coming to PC this Autumn

Rockstar Games yesterday announced that their console-busting L.A. Noire is coming to PC this Autumn. L.A. Noire looks like a game that was meant for PC with it’s outstanding graphics that seem to send consoles to their premature death. This game is said to be the equivalent to Furmark for consoles, pushing their processors to the very limit which suggests that the power of gaming PCs will be able to unlock the graphical potential of this game. Rockstar have also hinted that the game may be PC optimised too, as opposed to a simple port.

PC gaming aficionados, we hear you. And today, we are very happy to announce that L.A. Noire will be arriving on the PC platform this fall.

Developed by Rockstar Leeds and built to run on a wide range of PCs, L.A. Noire’s robust feature customization includes keyboard remapping and gamepad functionality to both optimize and customize performance and user experience. Along with increased fidelity and improved graphical enhancements, the PC version will also feature 3D support for an even greater sense of interaction and immersion within a painstakingly detailed 1940s Los Angeles.

This is a good sign for PC gaming as it shows that big companies such as Rockstar believe that it is worth their time developing a PC version of the game. As long as it’s not pirated to death, this may pave the way to the long-awaited release of Red Dead Redemption on PC as well as future Rockstar titles. With any luck, other developers will take a leaf out of Rockstar’s book and take their time to develop PC-optimised titles.
