Lian Li’s latest mini-ITX chassis announced

Lian Li is no stranger to us, its aluminium chassis has been known since the dawn of high quality computer making…or close enough at least, and recently, they have announced their own definition of portable gaming with the PC-TU200 Mini-Tower PC case.

Make no mistake this is a PC case, and as stated, it redefines ‘portable gaming’. Its small form factor allows it to take less space, while still having potential with durability being one of its many features.

Specially designed to be carried, the reinforced handle allows for easy carrying with all the corners and borders reinforced as well for protecting your precious hardware. Weighting only 3.15kg, this new product is available in black and silver, and the “nuclear football” style design allows for easy blending in while still looking classy.

Even though smaller, Lian Li has never let their costumers down when it came to quality, the outside is perfect, resistant and gorgeous, while the interior of the case itself is magnificently designed. Airflow has been once more optimized, the front 140mm fan sucking in fresh air and pushing it to the back that has been filled with mesh to allow the hot air to be exhausted. The entire aluminium chassis has been designed to help heat dissipation, making gaming a real possibility without trouble.

Small doesn’t mean powerless, you still have space for up to four 3.5” drive in addition to two 2.5″, plenty for any RAID configuration, two expansion slots with a graphics card holder allowing for a length of 300mm, which should give plenty of headroom. The entirety has been simplified by thumbscrews for an easy and painless installation. As a matter of fact, to take the side panel off, there’s nothing easier, just push a lever on the back, and simply push it back in to lock it into place.

The front panel includes the usual power and restart button, a 5.25” drive for your optical, an eSATA port, HD audio and two USB 3.0 ports which are connected internally (WOOT!), something rarely applied on today’s cases. Not only does the PC-TU200 can house a Mini-ITX, it can also house a Mini-DTX for more freedom of choice for your system.

Lian Li has always worked on their chassis like Michelangelo worked on the Sistine Chapel, it’s a master at its art, and for more than 12 years, we’ve seen cases that always include design, durability, performance and most of all quality. Whether in the past, present or future, we didn’t, don’t and won’t expect any product out of their factory that doesn’t have the qualities a Lian Li chassis requires.

The Lian Li PC-TU200 should be priced at $199.
