The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers film first came out in 1995, and it was based on the conflict between Ivan Ozze and Zordon. Quite a few years later, it looks like the movie is about to get a reboot courtesy of Lionsgate and Saban Entertainment, whose members also decided to share a few details regarding the characters included in the new film. Fortunately, quite a few iconic Power Rangers will be a part of the reboot, including Trini, Billy, Zack, Kimberley and Jason.

As far as casting is concerned, Lionsgate has not released any official details so far, but as the movie is set to be released in January 2017, we’re probably going to find out who’s going to play who in the near future. The director for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reboot is going to be Dean Israelite, who’s also responsible for directing Project Almanac. If this does not impress you, then you should also know that the script is being written by Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller, who also worked together on successful projects such as “X-Men: First Class” and “Thor”.

Are you looking forward to this Power Rangers reboot? I know I am.
