Mionix NAOS QG Smart Mouse Hits Kickstarter
Bohs Hansen / 2 years ago
NAOS QG is the first smart gaming mouse that tracks your body reactions and provides you with insights into your performance, and it has just launched today on Kickstarter. Over a third of the goal of $100,000 has been reached after just a few hours and at the time of writing $37.133 worth of pledges are in the pot and it is backed by 421 people.
Just like athletes gather and analyze data on their performance, Mionix wants gamers to be able to do the same. Via built-in sensors, the NAOS QG tracks your heart rate, galvanic skin response and actions per minute. This data appears as a transparent overlay on your screen. With the NAOS QG, you can also share and compare QG stats with friends and the community. This opens a whole new dimension of learning from other people’s playstyles.
The NAOS QG is just the first step towards an open Quantified Gaming platform, as they’re not only developing the mouse but also an APIs so others can create and add to the Quantified Gaming experiences. Applications and data can be shared among the community, more information will be provided on QuantifiedGaming.org where developers and hardware teams are more than welcome.
While mentioning all the cool new features, they somehow left out to mention what buttons, sensors and so forth the mouse will use. But looking at MIONIX other mice, we can expect it to be great.
300 Early birds were able to get their hands on the upcoming Quantified Gaming mouse for just $79 while there still is a stock on the second row of early bird specials for $89. Once they’re sold out the ordinary pledge will be $99 or more to be one of the first to get the hands on this epic new mouse. There are also multi-packs available for teams and the highest pledge will cost $5,000 and is named King of the Hill. You will be flown to the biggest computer festival Dreamhack, get an NAOS QG mouse and other unnamed MIONIX gear as well as accommodate you during the stay for crazy 3 days in Sweden. Only one King of the Hill package is available, so if you want it you have to be fast.
