mLogic is the new kid on the block and has opened its doors with three new products for Apple Macintosh computers the mDock, mBack and mLink.

The mDock is built for Mac Book Pro computers and as the name suggests is a dock system featuring front facing USB and headset ports, the device has a built-in hard drive that backs up the MBP system drive via Time Machine, avoiding desktop cables and clutter, the mDock comes in either 500GB at $219 or 1TB at $299.

mDock Highlights:

  • Replicates the ports located on the side of unibody 13” and 15” MBP computers
  • Peripheral devices (monitors, speakers, printers, etc.) are attached to mDock eliminating the need to plug and unplug these devices whenever the user goes mobile
  • Eliminates desktop cable clutter
  • Built-in hard drive (500GB or 1TB) backs up the MBP system disk via Time Machine
  • Convenient front facing USB and headphone jacks
  • Front facing, high-power (10W) charge port powers up iOS devices fast
  • Sleek, fan-less design and aluminium enclosure complements MBP

The mBack is a “zero footprint” back-up device for iMac computers saving space by attaching to the stand of the display, this unit comes in 3 capacities 1TB at $169, 2TB at $209 and 3TB at $349.

mBack Highlights:

  • Unique zero-footprint backup drive
  • Mounts to the iMac or Cinema/Thunderbolt Display stand using specialized hardware
  • Does not take up any desktop real estate
  • Time Machine compatible
  • 1, 2 and 3TB versions with high-speed USB 2.0 interface

The mLink is an external chassis that enables PCIe adapter cards (HD video capture cards, RAID controllers, host bus adapters, SSDs, etc.) to be attached to any Thunderbolt equipped Macintosh computer. mLink brings the functionality of these adapter cards that formerly required a Mac Pro to the new iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air via a high-speed 10 Gb/s Thunderbolt connection, the mLink will be priced at $399.

mLink Highlights:

  • Links PCIe 2.0 adapter boards to Thunderbolt enabled Mac computers
  • 2x 10 GB/s Thunderbolt ports

All three devices are the companies first offering and are due for release in November and can be pre-ordered through their own website from October here
