New 5.5 inch iPhone On Way This Year

Rumours are always near by when it comes to new Apple devices, and the latest comes from KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, who predicts that the company will release their “all new design” iPhones in both 4.7″ and 5.5″ variants. The 4.7″ phone is expected to hit the market in Q3, pointing toward a September reveal, only to be followed by the bigger 5.5″ version at the end of the year.

Apple releasing a new phone every six months or so is hardly big news, but the “all new design” is what really matters. The phone industry has stagnated in my opinion with companies battling it out to make black rectangles and adding more features that we simply do not need. If Apple can pull off a fresh design and depart from the copy paste iPhone styling, it could mark a long over due popularity boost for the company.

With competition stronger than ever from companies such as Samsung and HTC, Apple have really got their work cut out for them this year, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can gain some points back.
