Square Enix have released brand new Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Remaster screenshots, as well as an all new 30 minute long audio drama that was written by the original scenario writer, Kazushige Nojima, which has been set to play over the credits of the new remastered games.

The new screenshots feature the different environments within the game, including Besaid Island, Luca, Mi’ihen Highroad, Moonflow and Zanarkand, so far things are looking fantastic and the original PlayStation 2 editions weren’t exactly lacking in style anyway, but the HD makeover has certainly made things look amazing.

Square Enix has also confirmed that over 60 tracks from the original Final Fantasy X soundtrack will be rearranged and/or remastered in high-definition audio. Additionally, PlayStation 3 PlayStation Vita trophies will be supported, helping bring the game fully up to speed with the demands of modern gamers.

“Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Remaster celebrates two of the most cherished and beloved entries to the world-renowned franchise, now completely remastered in gorgeous high-definition. Based on the International Versions of the games that were previously exclusive to Japan and Europe, Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Remaster brings these timeless classics forward to the current generation of fans, old and new alike.” – Square Enix

These titles will be available in 2013 and you can enjoy the new screenshots and audio drama below.
