AMD has officially announced that they will be unavailing their new generation of PC graphics processors, codenamed “Evergreen” on Thursday, September 10th – well before Windows 7 finally hits the stores.
The new AMD / ATI HD5xxx range of GPUs are of a 40-nm design, will be fully Microsoft DirectX11 compliant and, if you believe AMD’s marketing and PR machine, will fundamentally redefine the PC graphics industry.
While the US based company has not shown off much of their highly anticipated hardware yet, expect to see it in action at the upcoming QuakeCon 2009 and GPU Technology Conference events.
