Windows 7: Hello Service Pack 1

The attempts made by the software giant: Microsoft, to fix security holes as well as functionality in their Operating Systems are generally provided by Windows Updates. Windows Updates have been around since Windows 98. A link was placed inside of the start menu in order to obtain additional updates for the operating system, anything from security updates to software updates would be provided there. However, since I am guessing we all know what Windows Updates are, thre is no need to explain how critical some updates really are, as well as the luxury of those that streamline the security update process. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Windows Updates, it generally separates the updates into critical and optional.

Just several months after the official release of Windows 7, Microsoft will soon be releasing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 to the market.

The above screenshots were taken by someone at muycomputer.com showing that Service Pack 1 is now in a test stage. While there is no certainty about the exact date for release of service pack 1 for Windows 7, this writer believes that day will come soon. While some sites state that it won’t be getting released until early summer, it is very possible the release may be just weeks away. So keep an eye out for Service Pack 1 to pop up on your list of Windows Updates.

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is expected to include:

  • All security and software updates, as well as full USB 3.0 support.

    Looking forward to it………..

  2. Andy Ruffell says:

We never “grabbed” their story, this article is 100% original content from us, we used their images yes, just as other sites have. The muycomputer web address has always been in the article, it is now clickable :)

  3. Anonymous says:

They had alot of websites grabbing their stories along with their images without giving muycomputer a clickable link, which they ask other sites to do. Guess we know one of those sites….

  4. Andy Ruffell says:

I think that muycomputer did go a bit far with the watermarks.

See, eTeknix has one watermark in the middle :p that’s enough i think.

Jesus, there’s more watermark in those images than original image!
