Noctua Providing Free Haswell Mounting Kit Upgrade to Existing Customers
Ryan Martin / 4 years ago
Noctua are a company who’s name is recognised for quality, excellence and long term customer support. The release of a new socket has always been taken by Noctua as an opportunity to reaffirm this commitment to customer service. Noctua is offering a free Haswell mounting kit upgrade to all existing customers. For the majority of people this will not be necessary since LGA 1150 uses the same mounting system as LGA1155/1156. Consequently, any Noctua customers that had products with LGA 1155 or LGA 1156 support will be able to use their Noctua product with Haswell simply by using those same mounting components.
The following products, that include Noctua’s SecuFirm2 mounting system, will be compatible with Haswell LGA 1150:
- NH-C12P SE14
- NH-U12P SE2
- NH-U9B SE2
However, if you picked up a Noctua product during or before LGA 1156’s introduction (2009) then you may not have Haswell compatibility. This really applies to anyone who has been using LGA 1366, AM2(+), LGA 775 or older socket systems since 2009 with a Noctua cooler and have yet to upgrade.
All Noctua ask is that you provide a proof of purchase (photo, scan or screenshot of the invoice) of an eligible LGA 1150 motherboard and Noctua cooler and then they will send you out a brand new NM-i115X package that includes mounting support for LGA 1156, LGA 1155 and LGA 1150 – totally free of charge.
The NM-i115X package will also be available in stores for a low cost should you find this a quicker and more convenient solution.
