Final ThoughtsOur first look at a product from the new cooling kid on the block, Phanteks, has overall been a very pleasant experience. There are no unexplainable obscurities or problems to report, which is always a good sign considering the brand’s experience in the consumer market.

Coming in four different colours, each of which would be right at home in every enthusiast’s computer, the PH-F140TS fans are most definitely aesthetically pleasing. We would even go as far as saying that they are without doubt some of the best looking fans on the market. Our personal favourite was the orange bladed fan due to its bright, eye-catching blades contrasting with the smooth white frame. It is always pleasing to see manufacturers make bold moves away from the norm such as producing fans that are a successful step away from the common and bland black or clear blades.

As far as performance goes, we could consider Phanteks’ 140mm fan to be an all round solution. It may not offer the absolute best cooling potential, but what it lacks in this area, it makes up for in low noise operation. While it performed admirably on our NZXT Havik 140 heatsink, even managing to beat the stock solution, we would also say that the F140TS is perfect for use as a case fan thanks to its low noise and high airflow design. The fact that it uses 120mm fan mounting holes also shows that a case fan is another good usage option.

Offering low noise operation, good cooling performance, an extremely attractive design and an accessory bundle that challenges the thoroughness of some motherboards, overall we are extremely impressed with Phanteks’ PH-F140TS 140mm fan and don’t have any complaints. As long as the pricing is good when the fans reach retail, we will whole heartedly recommend them. Well done Phanteks.
