    So you prefer neither but will go with whoever has the best card at the time.

    Exactly, which at the moment is ATI due to the technologies that their cards have.

    Who knows when they have a level competitor.

    I started using ATI from the moment I wanted to order an nVidia 8800 GT but the stock was empty. I want to change back to nVidia and Intel but currently I am satisfied with ATI/AMD :) maybe in the future I’ll make that change.

    Don’t we all do :) The brands are decently balanced (on GPU-Z they say 60% NVIDIA – 35% ATI) so we don’t even need to go civic-buying. The HD 5XXX are the way to go now, and probably the Fermis will be when they’re released (still, depending on the price). Looks like ATI and NVIDIA are sharing the market by taking turns at the leading position every half-year or so…
