Quake Champions System Requirements Leaked

Bethesda has yet to reveal any official system requirements for Quake Champions although the closed beta has begun. Those who were lucky enough to have received a key to participate are under a strict NDA not to disclose any information to the public but leaks do tend to happen however and luckily, a user participating in the beta from a popular games website has already posted the information online. The system requirements appears on the Quake Champions beta menu, and as expected, it does not require much in terms of PC hardware to run smoothly.

Quake Champions System Requirements Leaked

Minimum:

  • CPU: Intel Core i3-530 or Equivalent
  • Free Disk Space: 50GB
  • Video Card: Intel HD 4600, NVIDIA GeForce 630 (1GB), AMD Radeon R7-240 (1GB)
  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • RAM: 4GB

Recommended:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3330 or Equivalent
  • Free Disk Space: 50GB
  • Video Card: GeForce GTX 670 (2GB) or equivalent
  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
  • RAM: 8GB

It makes sense for Quake Champions to be very forgiving to low-end systems so it can maintain that constant high-framerate performance required of such a fast-paced game. Plus, this makes the barrier for entry much lower so more users will be able to play since it will be a multi-player heavy game. The game engine itself is not entirely built with Id Tech 6 like DOOM, but is actually a hybrid mixed with Saber Interactive’s SaberTech engine used in Halo Online. Compared to DOOM, whose minimum requirements needed a GeForce GTX 670 graphics card, Quake Champions with its hybrid engine only requires an integrated Intel HD4600, NVIDIA GeForce 630 or AMD Radeon R7 240.
