The packaging is clear and simple. It’s made from cardboard and sports a nice product shot with information on how fast the G+ coverage is,as well as comparing it to G. G+ MIMO and N1 MIMO. They also keep us well informed of the main features of the product including the Lifetime Warranty and FREE Tech Support, which to me is the deal clencher. I have had a lot of wireless networking devices ranging from adapters to routers, and even though i am technical savvy, i would go as far to say that networking isn’t my forte. Also on the front of the box is a logo telling us that it is Wi-Fi b and g certified and a nice, clear little diagram shows us a typical wireless setup.
The back of the packaging tells us in plain english “Here’s what is does” which includes a brief summary of how you can share files, printers and hard drives quickly and reliably. They also show us the typical wireless setup diagram again. Underneath this, it explains what G+ technology is, which in short, is built upon the widely deployed 802.11g standard by transferring data up to 125 Mbps using the 2.4Ghz band.We are also told that Wireless G+ is ideal for homes and offices looking for a performance boost. Of course, this will all depend on the overall speed of your internet connection.
We are also entertained about network security and the various securty features that this product has include WPA2, MAC filters and Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) as well as Network Address Translation (NAT). More digrams follow in instructing us how to share the internet and how to connect a laptop, and the products that we will need.
What comes bundled with the adapter and stand is:
What would you have liked to seen for a wireless USB adapter?
