Well, AFAIK they had to tweak the HD 5970 so that it didn’t exceed the specified 300W for PCIE slots, so dual Fermi can’t eat more than dual 5970 until the specifications get an upgrade, that’s why I went for quad 5870 :cool:

No clue about the dual socket MOBO. They’re out of my price range, really :D
