Conclusion

This card does exactly what it says on the box, and performs extremely well in the latest games. It has excellent cooling properties and comes with a fantastic warranty. When we started reviewing this card, the new 5xxx series cards were just a whisper, but now that they are out, it has sadly made this card take a back seat in regards to having a powerful card for a good price. AMD’s radeon 4890 still out performs this card, as well as the new 5xxx series pushing it to one side and taking it’s place on the podium. That’s why i’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

eTeknix Rating

Pros

  • Good cooling properties
  • Faired well in benchmarks
  • Good brand
  • Fantastic warranty

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Stiff competition

4

We have rated this 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you to Zotac for supplying eTeknix with this product.

  1. ??? ??? says:

    its a good card

  2. Andy Ruffell says:

It’s still a VERY current card, especially for nVidia, and some people don’t like ATI so will still be buying this card.

Check back soon for some 5000 series reviews :)

    Andy

  3. super dude says:

well its an old game and an old washed up video card–its not dx11 nor shaders 5.0 dose have have hdmi–so your reviewing a dinosaur which is getting killed by ati–and using ddr3 as well—”its not in the game” ive not heard of zotac but 5 years warranty is the only thing going for it.
the only review people need now is on ati’s 5000 range against the new nvidia’s range

  4. Gravy_Bones says:

Liked the review being a video presentation. good no nonsense review, thanks

    Bit of advice for WhaT?

Please ensure Brain is engaged before putting Mouth (typing fingers)into gear.

Though in WhaT?’s defence, displaying the video under the review title would make a bit more sense for those with Brain transmission problems. lol

  5. Andy Ruffell says:

That is the main part of the review, the video, the text just goes with it.

We dont do written reviews, purely video reviews.

You can find us on YouTube too :)

    Andy

  6. WhaT? says:

Yea now I see it – just a white box. Thanks to my awesome proxy!

So no, the video doesn’t work. Please post the pictures next time!

  7. Andy Ruffell says:

Am starting to think that people don’t watch the video at the top of the page.

4:07 onwards shows 3 lots of benchmarks at 3 different resolutions using 5 different benchmark tools.

Watch the video for the review, the text and pictures are just there to accompany the video which says EVERYTHING.

    Andy

  8. WhaT? says:

What no benchmarks? Whats the point of doing a review without the actual review? Did you just copy and paste the description of the card from the manufacturer?
