Sapphire displays fanless HD 7770 Ultimate at Computex 2012

We saw the HD 7750 Ultimate from Sapphire back in February. The Ultimate series from Sapphire features totally fanless graphics card using passive cooling solutions. We expect the HD 7770 version took a few months more than the HD 7750 version due to the fact it has a greater amount of heat to dissipate and therefore requires a more complex heatsink design. As the picture illustrates, the heatsink design is incredibly complex and it actually makes the card as long as the HD 7950/HD 7970 graphics cards. However, the PCB is still the same size as a normal HD 7770.

Sapphire seem to have gone with length over width as the card still only takes up 2 slots so most systems should be able to fit this in. Sapphire is sticking to reference speeds of 1GHz core and 4.5GHz memory with the normal 1GB of GDDR5 memory across the 128bit interface. The HD 7770 has 640 GCN cores which makes a nice upgrade over the 512 GCN core Sapphire HD 7750 Ultimate if you want silence with more performance. The HD 7770 Ultimate will be available later on this year.
