Final Thoughts

Price

The Silverstone Tundra Series TD02-Slim CPU cooler is available from Scan.co.uk for a very reasonable £67.99 from Scan Computers, which is about average for a cooler of this specification and I’m glad to see we’re not paying a big premium for those slim fans and the slimmer radiator.

Overview

I’m very impressed with this cooler overall, sure it didn’t set any world records with its cooling performance, but it proved it was able to keep up with many similarly priced, and a few more expensive models in our benchmarks. Despite having slim fans and a slimmer profile, the cooler can still maintain a very respectable level of cooling performance. Of course, this does come at a fairly minor cost, as the overall noise from the cooler is a little higher than most, but to me that seems like a fair trade-off; you could always dial back the RPM a little to suit your taste at the cost of a few points on the temperatures.

The build quality is very good overall, the fans look really nice and even the smaller details such as the fitting screws are nicely finished. I would like to see all black cables on the fan, but careful mounting and a bit of cable management and it’s unlikely you’ll see those anyway. The installation process is nice and easy, even if you’ve never installed an AIO before you shouldn’t run into any issues here. The hoses are a good length, flexible and have pivot mounts on the pump, so finding the best position within your chassis of choice shouldn’t be too tricky either.

Pros

  • Good build quality
  • Competitive performance
  • Easy to install
  • Slim design
  • Nice aesthetics
  • Price

Cons

  • Multicoloured fan cables

Neutral

  • Slim fans are a little noisy, but that was to be expected

“The slim design of the TD02-Slim is fantastic for those with limited chassis space and small form factor systems in general. Not only does it keep up with bigger and thicker coolers, it does it at a competitive price! Another great entry to the Silverstone AIO range.”
