It’s been a little while since our last competition since I’ve been around the world at Gamescom and Insomnia i43. Whilst at Gamescom, I made sure to meet up with Tony from Xigmatek who was keen to start doing more with eTeknix and this is where it all starts with this fantastic giveaway.

Xigmatek as you may or may not know were the first to set the standard in terms of direct heat-pipe technology and are keen to let you try it out for yourselves with the Xigmatek Thor’s Hammer CPU cooler. If you are unsure or have not heard of this great cooler, we invite you to check out the review that we did here.

Corsair has had the H50, H60 and H70 out for a while. As such it seems they want to push this a step further, firstly with a H80, which will feature a double-thick 120mm radiator compatible with most ATX cases. In case this wasn’t enough, they are also launching the H100, which offers a wide 240mm radiator, giving you the option of having two 120mm fans attached to it or be itself attached to any case with mounts for a 240mm radiator.

Both coolers feature digital connections, like Antec’s, that make them compatible with Corsair’s monitoring and control system, called ‘Link’. Even if not connected to Corsair Link, the H80 and H100 have digital speed controls, which can vary betwen quiet, balanced and performance profiles.

The cooling unit or block itself features a low-profile, light-weight cooling unit with a micro-channel copper cold plate and a split flow manifold for superior cooling. If you can translate that then let us know!

They Hydro Series H80 will retail for ~$80 and the H100 will cost ~$120, however it seems that these models will be priced higher in the UK as the H70 is priced at £70.

Spire Swirl is a cooler that sounds more like an ice cream, but it’s kitted out with 3 heat pipes and 45 nickel coated aluminium fins in a circle that is around a 75mm stovepipe fan. Inside is a custom fan that blows air out. The spire cooler ships with a a custom fan controller that takes up a standard expansion slot at the rear of your case along with a 5 year warranty, which is pretty impressive considering it only costs $52.99 with universal support for Intel and AMD CPU’s

Havik 140 is a dual fan radiator CPU cooler similar to many on the market such as the Noctua NH-D14, similar spec to the Noctua NH-D14 with a pair of 140mm fans, 6 heat pipe design, but the NZXT seems to defeat the NH-D14 when CFM rates are compared, the NH-D14 come in at 65 whilst the Havik 140 boasts a impressive 90CFM although at a slightly nosier 25/db. The Havik 140 seems to be more of a small form factor cooler just coming in at 6.5” although weighing 2.2lb. The Havik 140 is priced at $74.99
