Thermaltake have just revealed the latest entry in their popular enthusiast grade “Core” chassis series; the Core V51. The new chassis may feature a compact form factor compared to the larger V71 chassis, but it has been packed full of features that make it ideal for the enthusiast DIY market.

The chassis comes with support for E-ATX motherboards and features eight expansion slots, with room for graphics cards of up to 310mm; easily enough room for an ultra high-end gaming system. The storage in the V51 is fully modular, with support for two 5.25″ drive bays, two hard drive bays with support for three 3.5″ or 2.5″ drives, plus another with support for two 3.5″ or 2.5″ drives. All hard drive bays are height adjustable for extra flexibility too. Need to strip out all of the hard drives? No problem, there is a 3.5″ and a 2.5″ drive mount behind the motherboard tray for stealth mounting your drives if you prefer.

Air cooled systems can enjoy the benefit of dust filters on all major intakes and there are three 120mm fans pre-installed, with room for up to three 200mm fans (one in the front, and two in the top). Water cooling is where things get really interesting, as the chassis can handle up to a 420mm radiator in the front, 420mm in the top, 120mm in the back and 240mm in the bottom, giving more than enough space for an extreme custom cooling loop.

The chassis will be available from major retailers for $109.99 and we will endeavour to get a review live soon.
