First Step To Becoming A Cyberspy, Try Cracking These Codes First

gchq recently went live, which as you can see from the image above, contains 28 sets of five letters as well as a single set of three letters, but what does it mean? It is simple, well… technically not that simple of course, but all you have to do is crack the codes, enter the five answers and all your dream will come true (ok maybe not true).

This code cracking puzzle is just the first steps toward working for the GCHQ, which for those of you who don’t know is Britain’s Signals-intelligence Agency, and this code cracking idea could point you toward a job in the GCHQ cyber and technical operations, maths and cryptography or even advanced technology research departments.

This follows on from the puzzle two years ago called “can you crack it” which involved the use of programming skills to unlock a technical puzzle online, doing this successfully led to an application for to join the GCHQ and its certainly a clever way of finding people who are capable.

So can you take on the challenge and crack these codes, more to the point, do you even want to try and become a Cyberspy! Well keep in mind that GCHQ is offering up five Nexus 7 tablets and 100 Raspberry Pi computers to winners.

Thank you QZ for providing us with this information.

It’s really simple if you know how. Unfortunately nobody at Bletchley Park want to help me. Maybe a bribe here & there won’t go amiss 🙁
