The packaging gives us clear indication of the colour scheme on power supply with its stylish green and black design. The centre of the box gives the view of the power supply with the XFX logo and slogan presented in the middle.

The main unique selling points of the unit are listed telling us that it’s a modular PSU, has an 80 plus silver efficiency rating and that it’s Nvidia SLI ready. We’re also told that this is the 850watt model and that it conforms to ATX12V/EPS12V certification.

The bottom of the box gives clarification that it’s part of the black edition family and lists the full model name and number and shows a table indicating the AC input figures and DC output figures. We normally expect this on the unit itself but it’s nice to also have it on the box as the unit itself isn’t visible.

The back of the box is where we find oodles of information including the general blurb that we’ve seen before on a product of this nature, some of the key features including the continuous power of 850 watts, detachable modular cables and information on the voltage regulation and rails.

There is also a nice view of what the finished product looks like and just underneath a box lists the fixed cables and connectors and also the modular cables and connectors and exactly how many of each are included within the box.

Once the security seals have been cut and the outer sleeve of the packaging removed, you will see that the box is separated into two parts. The first features the “play hard” slogan and includes the modular cables.

Inside this boxed compartment is an XFX branded pouch, sporting the continuous green and black colour scheme.

Once the resealable Velcro pouch has been opened up, it will reveal all of the modular cables.

The modular power cables that come included are:

(2) PCI-E 6+2-pin Power Cable
(4) Serial ATA Power Cable
(3) 4-pin Peripheral Power Cable
(1) FDD Power cable

Other included accessories are a UK style power cord and also an EU style power cord and user guide detailing the special features, product information including rated figures, wire set and cable configuration, installation instructions, warning, self trouble-shooting and power connector introduction.
