YouTube Will Get Partial Offline Viewing From November

YouTube Creator Blog reports that from November you’ll be able to have some sort of offline viewing functionality. The offline functionality isn’t going to be the same as full offline downloading but you will be able to get temporary access while you’re disconnected. The feature is explained as:

“This upcoming feature will allow people to add videos to their device to watch for a short period when an Internet connection is unavailable. So your fans’ ability to enjoy your videos no longer has to be interrupted by something as commonplace as a morning commute.”

So if like me your morning commute involves heading into the underground/subway/metro (whatever you call it in your country) then this could be a great way to make sure you don’t miss out on any of your videos due to a loss of signal.
