007 First Light Could Launch on Switch 2 This September
James Bond’s mission on Nintendo Switch 2 could begin sooner than expected. After months of waiting with very little official news, a possible release date for 007 First Light has appeared online through a leak that is already getting fans talking.
As spotted by users on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit, Amazon Japan briefly listed the Switch 2 version of the game with a release date of 16 September. The listing has remained online without any changes, making the leak more believable, although it has not been officially confirmed.
Possible 007 First Light Release Date Leaks for Nintendo Switch 2
If the date is correct, it would match earlier comments from IO Interactive, which previously said that the Nintendo Switch 2 version was planned for a summer release.
With that in mind, fans could get their first proper look at the Switch 2 version in the coming weeks, possibly before the end of August. However, questions remain about how well the game will perform on Nintendo’s new console, especially considering the scale and ambition of the project.
It’s also worth noting that, in May, IO Interactive confirmed that 007 First Light was already running on Nintendo Switch 2, adding that the team is taking extra time to polish the game and ensure it launches in great shape later this summer.
Meanwhile, 007 First Light continues to achieve impressive commercial success, having already sold more than 2.7 million copies.
