007: First Light System Requirements Lowered
The system requirements for 007: First Light have been changed — and this time, for the better. Unlike most updates that make games more demanding, these new requirements are now lower in two key areas: recommended RAM and video memory.
The minimum requirements remain unchanged, but the recommended RAM has been reduced. The graphics memory requirements have also been lowered for both the minimum and recommended settings. Other components, such as processors and graphics cards, stay the same.
Updated Minimum Requirements
- Processor: Intel Core i5-9500K or AMD Ryzen 5 3500
- Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
- RAM: 16 GB
- Video Ram: 6 GB (previously 8 GB)
- Storage: 80 GB
- Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
Updated Recommended Requirements
- Processor: Intel Core i5-12600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600
- Graphics Card: GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
- RAM: 16 GB (previously 32 GB)
- Video Ram: 8 GB (previously 12 GB)
- Storage: 80 GB
- Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
Despite these changes, the estimated performance remains the same. The minimum setup targets 1080p at 30 FPS, while the recommended setup aims for 1080p at 60 FPS. However, the developers have not yet specified the graphics quality settings associated with these performance levels.
According to IO Interactive, this update was due to an internal communication error that caused older and newer requirement lists to be mixed up.
In other news, IO Interactive has announced that they have modified some of James Bond’s traditional traits in 007 First Light, as certain aspects might be seen as “inappropriate” for today’s audiences.
