With such impressive results in benchmark testing, we now see how it does in terms of gaming. In this, we test 5 games on the system using 1080p 1440p and 2160p resolution settings. This is more colloquially known as HD, 2.5k, and 4k. Overall, the MSI Infinite A 8th gives excellent 1080 performance. 1440p is certainly possible, but when it comes to 4K the Nvidia 1060 simple doesn’t have the guts.
That being said though, very few systems can effectively run 4K gaming and the MSI Infinite A 8th certainly isn’t advertised as such. Based on the results though, we’d say that this is a perfect 1080p system which is capable of a solid 1440p performance if that’s what you’re looking for.
We should note that Final Fantasy XV has only recently been added to our testing methodology. We added this to specifically have a modern release that is exceptionally demanding in terms of performance. As such, while we do not have as many results as of yet, there are limited comparatives you can take.
