Laptoping reports that Acer have revealed an updated version of the popular C710 Chromebook. Acer revealed the upgraded Chromebook at the IFA 2013 event in Berlin and the upgrade sees the CPU bolstered quite significantly. The device goes from running a 32nm Sandy Bridge based 1.1GHz Celeron 847 to a 22nm 1.5GHz Celeron 1007U almost doubling the CPU grunt of the Chromebook. The other core specifications remain the same so the device still has an 11.6 inch 1366 by 768 display, 2 or 4GB of RAM, a 16GB SSD or 320GB HDD, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and a 4 or 6 cell battery.
Acer’s upgraded Chromebook C710 will hit the stores soon at a price of about €250. Prices and specifications will vary by configuration. The device ships with the latest version of Google’s Chrome operating system.
