ADATA has displayed its commitment to a sustainable environment and has reduced the carbon footprint of its products with the eco-friendly HC300 and UC310 external storage devices.
With ECO-Friendliness in mind ADATA has released the HC300 external HDD and the UC310 external UFD and the casings of both have been created with PCR (Post-Consumer-Recycled) materials such as water jugs. Using PCR materials has effectively reduced carbon emissions by 48% and are sourced from a single location. The packaging for these devices is FSC-certified paper materials which significantly reduce carbon-dioxide emissions, wastewater and energy.
The HC300 ECO is wrapped in a beautifully verdant surface pattern and comes in capacities of up to 2TB. The casing of the device is slim at 10/3mm thick ensuring that it is easily portable and is equipped with an exclusive shock protection mechanism that protects the drive from sudden shocks or mishandling.
The UC310 features a USB 3.2 interface with up to 256GB capacity. The stylish design of the USB flash drive features a no-cap swivel design which protects the USB connector. The UC310 ECO is expected to be available in May.
Both of these drives are great for the environment but I do hate how all these eco-friendly products can’t just stick to a standard design and instead have to rub in your face how eco-friendly they are by plastering leaves and flowers and shades of green in the designs.
