Adrenalin 25.10 Update Confuses Users, But AMD Confirms Windows 10 Support Remains
The recent release of Adrenalin 25.10.2, the latest AMD Radeon driver, has caused confusion in the community because the release notes mention only Windows 11, not Windows 10.
This led many users to believe that AMD was officially dropping support for Windows 10, raising concern among those still using that operating system.
AMD Confirms Continued Support for Windows 10
However, AMD clarified that Windows 10 remains supported, even though it no longer appears explicitly in the release notes. The omission is due to the fact that Windows 10 entered its “end of life” phase on October 14, 2025, as declared by Microsoft. Because of this, AMD stopped listing Windows 10 in its driver documentation. Still, the company confirmed that users running Windows 10 will continue to receive driver updates, including this Adrenalin 25.10.2 version.
Changes in Support for RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 GPUs
This update also marks a change in support for RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 architecture-based graphics cards (such as the Radeon RX 5000 and 6000 series). These GPUs now enter a “maintenance mode,” meaning they will continue to receive bug fixes and day-zero game support, but may not get all the new features released for future GPU generations.
If your PC has 16 GB of RAM and an AMD graphics card, you don’t need to upgrade to Windows 11 immediately for driver compatibility reasons. As long as your system works properly, you can safely continue using Windows 10 until you decide to upgrade for other reasons. However, it is recommended to keep your drivers updated to ensure system stability and performance.
