Aerocool Strike-X GT Devil Red Edition Mid-Tower Review

The left side of the chassis features a pair of 120mm fan mounts with a bright red mesh panel allowing for air flow. The side panel features some raised rectangle bumps, although these are merely a design feature and serve no  practical purpose, but it keeps in theme with the rest of the chassis which is covered in aggressive angles and grooves.

The right side panel is just a plain metal panel with no standout features, although it’s not exactly uncommon on most chassis for this side to be flat.

The front panel is full of funky features and design points, we have the Strike X logo in red at the top, then three more times on the 5.25″ drive bays, the front fan mesh is covered with an X shape and finally we also have the Aerocool logo sitting at the bottom.

There are three 5.25″ drive bays, each with easily removable front covers. Below that we have 2 x 120mm fan air intakes, with a single 120mm red LED fan installed behind the upper vent.

The panel features the same red mesh that we saw on the side panel and from this angle you can see just how many odd angles and contours there are to the panel.

The front panel is fairly well equipped with 3 x USB 2.0 but unfortunately only a single USB 3.0 port. At the front we have a large power button and smaller reset button with the power and HDD LEDs inbetween.

Around the back we see more red paint work, with a pre-installed red LED 120mm fan at the top, two water/cable routing holes below that, 7 reusable and ventilated expansion slot covers and a pair of flip out handles to allow easy removal of the side panels.

Along the top we have more red mesh, this time with an X shape moulded into it, while to the right we have a small recess that will provide a neat storage area for USB drives and other small items.

The underside of the chassis features a huge amount of ventilation and this will provide the PSU and any base mounted cooling with airflow.

There are four durable plastic feet, which fold out 90 degrees to provide a more stable base for the chassis.
