AIDA64 Adds Support for AMD Zen 7 Server Processors Two Years Before Their Launch

While Intel is preparing to debut its new cores with Nova Lake-S processors, which will not arrive until 2027, AMD seems to be getting even further ahead with its Zen 7 cores. Some programs are already preparing for AMD’s next architecture, even though its launch is still at least two years away. AIDA64 beta version 8.35.8405 is one of the first to add preliminary support for Zen 7.

More specifically, AIDA64 has added support for AMD server processors based on the Zen 7 architecture, which are not expected to arrive until 2028. Different versions of these Zen 7 processors are known under the code names Florence, Ferrara and Fidenza, while AMD has also revealed Ravenna, which will use the Zen 8 architecture.

AMD Zen 7 Is Still Two Years Away

Unfortunately, this early support does not reveal any information about the upcoming generation. It is not even known which family this first AIDA64 support is intended for. Basically, AIDA64 is getting ready to identify these processors, which will likely begin testing soon.

Not much else is currently known about AMD’s next generation of cores, but they will most likely appear first in server processors. Intel will take the opposite approach with its new cores, which will debut in Nova Lake-S desktop processors before appearing in the company’s next-generation Intel Xeon processors.
