Akasa Baymaster S USB 3.0 Card and Drive Reader Review

Test Setup

Here at eTeknix we always like to test products very thoroughly and today is no exception.

Test System:

  • AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
  • Asus M4A785TD-M Evo
  • Crucial 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz
  • OCZ Vertex II 60GB SSD
  • Cooler Master Silencio Case + 600W PSU

Hardware Used:

  • Samsung Spinpoint 2.5″ 500 GB SATA II
  • Akasa Baymaster S

Software Used:

  • HDD Speed
  • Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit

While we could test this device with the latest and fastest SSD we don’t believe this is going to be exactly the most real-life like situation. While it may be the case for some of our readers out there to have a spare SSD drive, we feel it is more likely that you have a laptop drive that you want to back-up or restore some data from.
