AKRacing Unleash Their Premium Office Chair Line

AKRacing Unleash Their Premium Office Chair Line

While at CES 2019, we saw the impressive gaming chairs from AKRacing, which is what we expected. What we didn’t expect, however, was this line of high-end gaming chairs. These are the sort of chairs we expect will compete with other premium “no-so-gamer-like” chairs such as noblechairs and Vertagear.

They have three models, albeit only two are on show today.

They’re only in black too, and there are no colour options like with their gaming series. They haven’t skipped the details though, and you still get this lovely matte black/grey detailing, with a carbon fibre effect finish on the wings.

All their office chairs have a flat seat too, not a bucket design like you get on the gaming series. They’re wider, thicker padding, big armrests, and have larger wheels with foot grips.

Onyx

The Onyx is the wider model of the two, and it uses top grain leather instead of split leather. It’s a bit more premium, a bit more expensive, but the end result is a much better-looking chair. The one above will set you back around $499, while the Onyx is $629 for PU Leather and $699 for top grain leather. Not cheap, but with a 5-year warranty, amazing build quality, and from such a trusted brand, you simply get what you pay for.

This one features much larger headrest and back support cushions than their other chairs. This looks more like the one your boss would buy. Sure, it’s more expensive, but you can see it’s a league of its own in regards to style and build quality.

Their new footrest, well, mini seat even. You can’t tilt it, but it does have a gas lift for height adjustment. Personally, I think they’re great scattered chairs for the office. I also think it would make a nice stool for me to sit on and play the guitar.
