Alphacool Announces The VPP755 Eispumpe

Alphacool is one of the most respected names in water cooling and releases a wide range of solutions including radiators, pumps and much more. Recently, the company announced the VPP755 Eispumpe which replaces the D5 and fixes all the major issues thanks to a complete re-design. This time, the pump uses a ceramic shaft instead of a spherical bearing, resulting in quieter operation. Also, the motor coils are now positioned on the outside which leads to fewer vibrations and enhanced reliability. Not only that, the revised positioning cuts the power consumption in half while having a 4m maximum head for higher performance.

On another note, the VPP755 Eispumpe integrates various control options. More specifically, the 4-pin Molex powers the pump and connects directly to the power supply while the 3-pin connector can be deployed to read the RPM values. As a result, the 3-pin header can be controlled via a motherboard’s BIOS or through a dedicated fan controller. The product also comes with a 4-pin PWM connector which enables the pump to be controlled by PWM as per usual.

On the rear section, there is a small rotary switch which contains 5 different levels for manually controlling the pump. Perhaps the most innovative aspect revolves around the idea that you can use the manual control and PWM simultaneously. This particular technological marvel has been patented by Alphacool. This means you can set the general maximum RPM for the pump which cannot be exceeded by PWM control. This is useful to keep the noise levels under a certain threshold.
