AMD Adrenalin 22.6.1 – Game Ready for F1 2022!

Released earlier this week, and representing the first title following Codemasters’ acquisition by EA, F1 2022 has surprisingly proven to not only be a popular title, but it’s also actually pretty amazing both from a gameplay and visual standpoint. – If you are, therefore, planning to check this out and own an AMD graphics card, then following the release of their latest Adrenalin 22.6.1 drivers you’re going to want to check this out as not only does it offer game-ready optimisations, but for those of you planning to check this out in 4K resolution, some potentially big (and free!) improvements are there waiting!

AMD Adrenalin 22.6.1

As part of the official driver notes, AMD has confirmed the following game-ready optimisations and general bug fixes:

Highlights

  • Support for F1 2022™
    • Up to 5% increase in performance in F1 2022 @ 4k Ultra High settings, using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.6.1 on the Radeon™️ RX 6950 XT, versus the previous software driver version 22.5.2 RS-486
    • Up to 4% increase in performance in F1 2022 @ 4k Ultra High settings, using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.6.1 on the Radeon™️ RX 6800 XT, versus the previous software driver version 22.5.2 RS-487
    • Up to 6% increase in performance in F1 2022 @ 4k Ultra High settings, using AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.6.1 on the Radeon™️ RX 6750 XT, versus the previous software driver version 22.5.2 RS-488

Fixed Issues:

  • Performance drop may be experienced while playing Fortnite™ with Multithreaded Rendering and DirectX® 11 API on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6900 XT.
  • Stuttering may be experienced while playing Overwatch™ with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6700 XT.
  • Higher than expected CPU usage when Instant Replay is enabled on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6900 XT.
  • Fan Tuning option may be missing on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 590.

Where Can I Get My Update?

As always, if you already have the Radeon Adrenalin app installed on your PC (which you certainly should if you utilise one of their graphics cards), then a quick check of it should now prompt you to download and update to this latest 22.6.1 driver release. However, if that doesn’t work, you can learn more and/or manually download it via the link here! – As noted above though, if F1 2022 is on your agenda, this one seems well worth checking out!

What do you think? How often do you update your graphics card drivers? – Let us know in the comments!
