AMD Confirms Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 in EEC Filing
AMD has officially listed a new high-end desktop processor, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, in a recent Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) filing. This registration is the clearest public confirmation so far that AMD is preparing a new flagship CPU with dual 3D V-Cache.
The listing appears under AMD International Sales & Service, which usually means the product is getting closer to launch. While AMD did not talk about this CPU during its CES 2026 announcements, the company told some media outlets to “stay tuned” when asked about it.
Dual 3D V-Cache Could Change the Design
Leaks about the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 have been circulating since mid-2025. According to this information, the key difference compared to the current Ryzen 9 9950X3D is the use of 3D V-Cache on both CCDs. This would result in a total of 192 MB of L3 cache.
Current Ryzen 9 X3D models use a mixed design, where only one CCD has extra cache. This can require game profiles or manual tuning to make sure games run on the right CCD. A dual-cache setup could remove this issue and make performance more consistent, especially in games.
So far, AMD has not shared official clock speeds, power limits, or a release date for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2. A 200 W TDP has been mentioned in rumors, but this has not been confirmed.
AMD has already announced that the Ryzen 7 9850X3D will launch on January 29 with a price of $499. However, there is no timeline yet for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2. If it follows the same path, it could arrive later as the top model in AMD’s Ryzen 9000 X3D lineup.
