AMD Launches Radeon RX 9060 XT LP: A Low-Power Graphics Card with High Efficiency

The current generation of AMD graphics cards, the Radeon 9000 Series, has been on the market for over a year. These GPUs are based on the RDNA 4 architecture, but AMD still has room to release new models before moving on to the next RDNA 5 or UDNA generation.

Quietly, AMD has launched a new version of the Radeon RX 9060 XT, introducing a low-power variant known as the Radeon RX 9060 XT LP.

This new AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT LP has been listed on the company’s official website, where more details are now available. AMD describes this model as designed for “Immersive Experiences at Lower Power.”

Although it is marketed as a low-power card, AMD has not officially disclosed its Total Board Power (TBP). It is expected to be below 180 W, which is the consumption level of the standard Radeon RX 9060 XT.

Industry sources suggest that the RX 9060 XT LP will consume around 140 W, a figure that would still require an additional 8-pin power connector. The recommended minimum power supply remains at 450 W.

AMD has not provided further details about the clock speeds, but it claims that performance is very similar to the standard model, with slight reductions. For instance, it can deliver 25 TOPS in FP32 vector performance, compared to 25.6 TOPS on the unrestricted version.

As for the pricing, details are not yet available. As more information unfolds, we’ll be sure to let you know here at eTeknix. Below are the full specifications.
