AMD Radeon 21.5.2 Drivers Gets You Game Ready For Days Gone

AMD graphics card owners, prepare to get a reminder at practically any moment that your drivers are (once again) in ‘need’ of a new update. Presuming you are planning to check out the newly released PC port of ‘Days Gone‘, however, you’ll undoubtedly want to get this out of the way as with it offering game-ready optimizations, it certainly seems like a good idea if you want the best experience possible on your system.

In terms of driver updates, the main key highlight of this is the game-ready support being applied for Days Gone, with several other useful fixes and optimizations. However, it would certainly be in your interest to at least check out what’s going on. The official update notes read as follows:

Fixed Issues:

Uninstalling or upgrading Radeon Software using the factory reset option may delete AMD chipset driver folders if they are stored in the same directory as the Radeon Software installation. Users who wish to perform a factory reset are recommended to use the latest AMD cleanup utility instead.
Cyberpunk 2077™ may experience shadow corruption on Radeon RX 6000 series graphics when ray tracing is enabled.
Intermittent loss of signal during AMD Link’s Stream Optimization if HEVC is used on Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products or later.
The download or launch Ryzen Master buttons in Radeon Software may intermittently disappear or may fail to initialize Ryzen Master.
FPS logging may log incorrectly or fail to log on Ryzen^TM Mobile 4000 series and Ryzen^TM Mobile 5000 series.
Radeon Software may experience a crash when Record & Stream tab is in use and a display is hot plugged.

As always, if you already have AMD Adrenalin 2020 Edition installed, then a quick check of the app should prompt you to download this latest version. And it’s something we would certainly recommend if you plan to pump a few hours (or maybe a few hundred given its open-world design) into Days Gone.
