While Nvidia has (very likely) now completed its run of primary 30XX graphics cards, it shouldn’t be ignored that AMD still has a couple more product launches on the way. With the more entry-level focused Radeon RX 6600 XT set to arrive within the next couple of months though, we again fall into the remits of attempting to ascertain just how good this is going to be. – Well, following a report via Videocardz, we may have one of our first indications to at least one aspect of that as EEC registrations by Gigabyte may have just confirmed how much memory the graphics card is going to come with.

So yes, we again fall into the remits of VRAM which, for reasons we have still yet to determine, has become the initial focus point of speculation regarding practically every graphics cards launch over the last year. Given that this is all we have to work with at the moment, what are we getting with the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT?

Well, while we would always suggest that EEC registrations are taken with a grain of salt, as a lot of things get registered that never see the light of day, Gigabyte has officially made 6 entries not only confirming that the 6600 XT is likely set for release in the very near future, but also that every single configuration is apparently coming with 8GB of VRAM.

What Do We Think?

Given that the 6700 XT comes with 12GB of memory, taking the 6600 XT down to 8GB does seem like an entirely logical progression. Make no bones about it though, this is still a very decent chunk of VRAM for what we expect to primarily see touted as a 1080p gaming solution. With this registration seemingly suggesting that something official is just on the horizon, rest assured, as soon as we hear more, we’ll let you know!
