AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT to Launch with 8GB and 16GB VRAM Options
AMD is planning to launch the Radeon RX 9060 XT with two VRAM options: 8 GB and 16 GB. These models will be part of AMD’s RDNA 4 generation, following the recently released Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. While there is no official confirmation about an RX 9060 (non-XT), it’s been confirmed by Videocardz that the RX 9060 XT will come with either 8 or 16 GB of VRAM.
The 8 GB version will be a more affordable option, while the 16 GB version will provide more memory for demanding applications. Both models will use 20 Gbps GDDR6 memory and have a 128-bit memory bus, regardless of the VRAM size.
Power Requirements and Video Outputs
In terms of power consumption, these cards will feature a single 8-pin connector, requiring at least a 500 W power supply, which increases to 550 W for overclocked models. Additionally, they will have 3 video outputs: 1 HDMI 2.1 and 2 DisplayPort 2.1a, suggesting that they will use the Navi 44 GPU instead of the Navi 48 found in current models.
This move to offer different memory sizes and other enhancements is expected to bring more performance options to gamers and professionals alike.
